Urban Hike - March 15

In anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day, the Downtown Cleveland Residents Association will conduct its 7th Annual Beware the Ides of March Downtown Excursion, always held on March 15, beginning at 10:00 a.m., to explore Downtown Cleveland and discover Downtown’s Irish taverns. This hike is a public service to Downtown residents, non-residents, and visitors so as to reduce the stress in planning your St. Patrick’s Day celebration and give you the opportunity to learn the easiest, quickest, and safest route from your penultimate destination. The exploratory excursion will commence at 10 a.m. at Erie Island Coffee on East 4th Street between Prospect and Euclid Avenues, will be a 5 mile mission of discovery, and end at Gillespie’s Map Room on West 9th Street in the Warehouse District at about 12:30.

Given the vagaries of Cleveland weather, be mindful of conditions and dress appropriately.

Please let us know if you will be attending by sending a polite e-mail to bill@downtownresidents.org.

Prizes will be awarded along our journey; so, take a few minutes to study your Cleveland and St. Patrick’s Day history to prepare for the trivia challenges!
