Transportation in 21st Century Cleveland

  • Spotted Owl 710 Jefferson Avenue Cleveland, OH, 44113 United States (map)

According to Liveable City, public transportation, bikeability, and walkability are key factors in creating liveable cities that attract new citizens and increase productivity.

In 2014, Nelson/Nygaard conducted two mobility studies in Cleveland - one in University Circle and one at Public Square. Since that time, Cleveland has increased the number of pedestrian trails and bike share programs while simultaneously witnessing a decrease in funding for public transportation, an increase in bus/rapid fares accompanied by a consolidation of routes, and, most recently, the decision to permanently close Public Square to buses. How do these decisions affect Cleveland's current renaissance and its future land and economic development?

Join us for a special Dinner and Dialogue happy hour edition forum with Alex Baca, General Manager of UHBikes, and Chris Ronayne, President of University Circle, Inc., as they discuss transportation in 21st century Cleveland.
